Friends of ‘R’ House meet the third Thursday of January, April, July, and October at the Rengstorff House at 7 pm. Our doors are always open to folks wishing to get involved, just to get more information, or simply to attend the meeting to find out what the latest projects and activities are. All are welcome; hope to see you at the next meeting!

TURN YOUR CHEEK: Silhouettes and the Victorian Era

An exhibit of vintage silhouettes and modern interpretations including silhouette designs of members of the Friends of ‘R’ House, Greater Bay Area Costumers Guild and profiles and other scherenschnitte created by students of the Art4Schools program of the Community School of Music and Arts.

History and haunting meet at the Rengstorff House. Experience a mummy unwrapping, a séance, a spiritualist painter and a lugubrious house of mourning. Relive the eerie happenings that have been reported over the decades since the last Rengstorff descendants vacated the house in 1959. Treat yourself to a guided tour of one of California’s favorite haunted houses.
